Cattivo van Orshof Z is a large and athletic stallion. His sire, Cabrio van de Heffinck, won the 5* Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows under Olivier Philippaerts. One of the most famous offspring of Cabrio van de Heffinck is Hadja van Orshof, who jumped internationally at 1m65 with Kelli VanderVeen-Cruciotti, including the World Cup Final in Gothenburg. Interestingly, Cattivo's dam, Lauranne van Orshof (daughter of Falco van Orshof), is a half-sister of Hadja van Orshof.

His grandmother, Victory van Orshof (Darco x Zeus), has produced several international showjumpers.

Genetically, Cattivo is bred to jump at a high level. He jumps with great push-off, good technique, and power. Cattivo is currently unbacked.
